Animate with text (Pro)

The Animate with Text tool generates animation frames from a single reference image using an action description.

How It Works

  1. Set your character as the reference image using the "Set" button
  2. Enter an action description (e.g., "walk", "jump", "attack")
  3. Optionally set the view and direction
  4. Generate

The tool automatically generates multiple animation frames based on the action you describe.

Frame Output by Reference Size

  • 32x32 or 64x64 → 16 frames (4×4 grid) — 20 generations
  • 65-128px → 4 frames (2×2 grid) — 20 generations
  • 129-170px → 4 frames (2×2 grid) — 25 generations
  • 171-256px → 4 frames (2×2 grid) — 40 generations

Options

  • Reference Image: Your character sprite
  • Action: What animation to create (e.g., "walk", "run", "jump", "attack", "idle")
  • View: Camera perspective (low top-down, high top-down, or sidescroller)
  • Direction: Which way the character faces (south, south-east, east, etc.)
  • No Background: Generate with transparent background
  • Seed

Limitations

  • Maximum reference image size is 256x256 pixels
  • Requires Tier 1 subscription
  • Available in Pixelorama, Aseprite, and Creator
