Inpaint (v3)

Inpaint v3 is an improved inpainting tool that generates content in masked areas of your image. Draw in the "PixelLab - Inpainting" layer to mark which areas should be modified.

How It Works

  1. Open the Inpaint v3 tool - it creates a "PixelLab - Inpainting" layer
  2. Draw on that layer to mark areas you want to change
  3. Describe what to generate in those areas (e.g., "grass", "stone floor")
  4. Generate

Options

  • Description: What to generate in the masked areas
  • No Background: Generate with transparent background
  • Crop to Mask: Focus generation on masked area only
  • Use Selection: For canvases larger than 256x256, use a selection to define the working area
  • Seed

Limitations

  • Minimum size: 32x32 pixels
  • Maximum size: 256x256 pixels (use selection for larger canvases)
  • Costs 20 generations per use
  • Available in Aseprite and Pixelorama extensions only
